I just watched the pilot again. The email Sherlock gets from Lestrade never fails to crack me up. First off, he’s sent it from his private email address, which is lestrade@strade.org.uk. Not lestrade@lestrade.org.uk or even greg@lestrade.org.uk which would make more sense. His email address is his surname @ half his surname . org. WAT?? Secondly, he repeats himself. And Sherlock hates repetition. email subject: “Please call me.” email body: “Please call me.” Why doesn’t he just text Sherlock? Is Lestrade just so technologically inept he doesn’t realise you can have a free email address? Did somebody tell him he needed to pay for his own domain, just to have email? Poor Lestrade.
